My son has rather thin hair and like it to almost stand straight up in the front a hairstyle his favorite fortnite character has. What would you suggest to use for that?
David Vigneur (1 day ago)
That's not going to make him not want to style his hair like that now also he liked the character before he got to play fortnite. He has always liked to do his hair it interested styles and he makes up interesting name for his different hairstyles.😆 they are very comical.

I'm really thinking about getting a clay and trying it out. Seems perfect for my hair and hairstyle. Sorta leaning towards nostalgic grooming clay, but eh, who knows.

Might buy the gel.

Zer0TheHer0 (15 days ago)
What do you think about sea salt spray? It is also effective in hair styling IMHO.
SlayCityUSA (14 days ago)
Really only good for texture if you ask me. Doesnt really hold the hair. I use it as a pre-styler.

Please make a video about slightly wavy hair. I'd really appreciate because I can't have those curls (Eg: Shawn Mendes) but my hair isn't perfectly straight either (Eg: Brad Pitt). I am seriously lost when it comes to my hair. My hair isn't very wavy but slightly wavy. When I blow dry it looks straight but when it's wet it's all over the place and those curls appear out of nowhere. Please help, I'd seriously appreciate very much.

Arthur Callahan (27 days ago)
Its not fair. You can use any kind of hair product and still look good. Nice vid btw. Favorite hair product for me has got to be water based pomade with hair mousse. I switched recently with just hair mousse and hair spray to save me some time in the morning 😁

I have the American Crew Molding Clay and it’s useless when hair is long, i have wavy hair (which I don’t like) and thick hair. Should I stop using clay or is it because American Crew is just shitty? Thinking about getting the A.Crew Grooming Cream
Marcelo #803 (1 month ago)
What about Hairspray??? Is that like gel?

I would love to see a specific video about hair that grows forward,i have been told many times that there it is little i can do to comb it to the sides or go for a similar hairstyle than yours,i still have hope but i am sure you know more about the topic!

Cream ftw!! My hair is fine. Thus pomade, gel is not meant for it. As for cream, its the best. It naturally hold the hair.

Great video Robin. Pomades are my go to, but nowadays there's so much versatility within the pomade world that the lines have been blurred. We have traditional oil based (Murrays, Lockharts), traditional water based (Suavecito), unorthodox water based (flagship, grim grease, nostalgic grooming s/wb), but it's a huge reason why I love it. I got my hair cut recently and I'm rocking a shorter more textured look and have been using waxes and clays or a cream pomade like Gray Ghost by Shear Revival. Excellent stuff.
Robin James (1 month ago)
Exactly! The lines are totally blurred. It's just about finding what works for you.

Hey Ariel, I'm still using it! A few other products I have been using too.

Which products would recommend for Textured french crop haircut ?
Robin James (1 month ago)
Hey! A cream could work well. But I'd probably pre-style with a salt spray. Rough dry with hands. And then work cream through.
Knightmare Gaming (1 month ago)
Can someone tell me when I should use a brush and when I should use a comb
Robin James (1 month ago)
Hey! It's really down to personal choice. I use a brush to add huge volume and to control with a hairdryer. I use a comb to be more precise with my styling.

Sumoclay works amazingly well for my thick & coarse hair, didn't expect that. Would love a more in depth video though, this one feels like a simple promo for b&b.
Robin James (1 month ago)
Hey Manos, wanted to keep it short and sweet and also - naturally - integrate the brand that I've chosen to work with. Hope you you still enjoyed it.
until22 kowalski (1 month ago)
Oh my God! Hard choice, but for me: none! Why? It's not about the product or hair, it's about the hands which are not cooperating with you and creating anything but the hairstyle you have in mind 😣😢 that is why i gave up with anything on my hair
until22 kowalski (1 month ago)
+Robin James my hands will not help me 😂
Robin James (1 month ago)
Practice makes perfect! See what suits you and the style you're looking to do.

I prefed your sides trimmed with 0 or 1 like you did in the past. However you look like a rich person somehow with the longer sides.
hij (1 month ago)
+Robin James Yes it's classy vs sporty. Both are nice.
Robin James (1 month ago)
It's just a more classic style. I think it suits me better. But thank you, as ever, for the feedback.

What should I tell the barber to get a haircut like yours?
Robin James (1 month ago)
Scissor cut all over. Sides left longer. Textured throughout the top. I think it may be time for an updated video from me.
Ahmed Mirza (1 month ago)
Hey Robin, your haircut is awesome, make a video on this haircut, by mentioning the length of your hairs on the front, side, and the back.
Ahmed Mirza (1 month ago)
+Robin James Thanks for your reply! I am waiting for it.
Robin James (1 month ago)
Hey Ahmed, will look to do another one soon.

Amazing video Robin! I have fine hair aswell. I consider buying one of these. Thinking about creme or clay. What would you recommend? ... also i bought american crew boosting powder but i am not sure if i use it right. I would love to see video about boosting powders since there is nothing really that great on youtube about it. Love you ! Cheers
Robin James (1 month ago)
Hey Norbert, will definitely look to do powder soon. For cream or clay, this video should help. See what sort of style you want based on what I say.

+Robin James That would be fantastic, really. I (and many others as well for sure) would greatly appreciate it if we had some access to a discount as well!
Robin James (1 month ago)
Ah, sorry! Will see if there's an option for you guys.
joseph dashyan (1 month ago)
The long sides are getting old, in order to have long sides you need more of a masculine face
Robin James (1 month ago)
Thanks for the feedback, Joseph. Booked myself in for "More Masculine Facial Reconstruction." Thought it was easier than just getting my hair cut. Will let you know how I get on.
Yazan Y (1 month ago)
its the opposite. tge more masculine you look the shorter hair u shoukd have, mire femenine you look thelobger hair u should have
Adam Daniels (1 month ago)
As far as your hair goes based on this video I'd say creams should be your go to. The loose "flowy" styles work well with you. As for me, I'm a paste and sometimes clay kind of guy for casual days. Lately though I've been loving Crystal Lake from Shear Revival.
Robin James (1 month ago)
All about the cream too. It felt good!
Hulalulatallulahoop2 (1 month ago)
I loved the look when you used the gel!! I'd probably use the clay as i feel that's the one that doesn't leave your hands sticky (hate that). Btw, i didn't like the Night Vision Victor and Rolf aftershave when i looked at it in Preston...yuck!
Robin James (1 month ago)
Thank you! And yes, not a huge fan of that fragrance, at all!

Hey Robin! Amazing videos as always, truly impressed with all this amazing content. Pretty much all my men’s style ideas are coming from you. Love it! I am using the crystal lake revival pomade right now(actually left a review on website) would you suggest the clay or sumo tech from b&b as a replacement or something to do a bit different with hair? Just curious what you think. Thanks as always!
sean paul (27 days ago)
Robin James - thank you Robin, I tried to order sumotech to give that a go, unfortunately it appears bumble doesn’t ship to the US. Is there a place that can ship to the US, no discount code obv but it’s cool, or a different but similar product you could recommend ? Thanks as always!
Robin James (1 month ago)
Thanks very much, Sean. This is so great to hear. I love Crystal Lake and it's totally different from the Bb. products. I'd keep it and add on, if possible. Sumotech is a great product and so versatile. I think you'd like that.
